Mike Madill, RPF, B.Sc F, Dipl SIBC
SENIOR FORESTER
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of British Columbia and a Diploma in Advanced Silviculture from the Silviculture Institute of BC. He is a Registered Professional Forester (RPF #2145) with the Forest Professionals of BC.
Mike has over 40 years of experience developing and managing reforestation projects in the BC Southern Interior. Prior to joining Cariboo Carbon Solutions, Mike worked for the Ministry of Forests as a Reforestation Specialist. In this position, he provided expert advice on all aspects of reforestation, including seedling procurement, prescribing, and implementing planting and site preparation treatments. He also served as the Forest Carbon Reforestation Specialist for the Office of the Chief Forester.
Since 2022, Mike has been working as a Senior RPF for Cariboo Carbon Solutions (CCS). Recently, he collaborated with CCS field staff to prepare planting prescriptions and provide the RPF sign-off for 1.7 million seedlings planted on Crown land severely affected by wildfires.
